Recommendations for Ford 4.6 32v DOHC that sat for 5 years.

What I liked best was it was the only RWD I’ve ever had, that did NOT have axle hop crossing RR Tracks or bumps.

It’s because it uses a Watts link-style rear suspension. Dual bars to each side of the frame to keep it centered.

For a “pedestrian” sedan it was actually pretty advanced…

The 5W20 bulk syn blend that the garage put in got very dark, very quickly.
I changed it out recently after 500 miles and put in M1 5W30 with a quart of HPL engine cleaner. We'll see what that looks like after 1k.

Same thing happened to a 07 P71 I picked up in Ft Worth a few years ago. It had sat not driven for 2-3 years and it took me 3 Valvoline syn blend oil changes for it to not to turn DARK black !!! Luckily at the time, I had a NICE supply of Valvoline 5W-20 daily protection in stock

True, and  many of the faults of the Crown Vics were improved on the Marauder, but the suspension still has the greatest potential for improvement imo.
