So I have a 2000 Toyota Camry V6. Over 200k. Runs great. I do 5k oil changes. Not brand loyal but Supertech full syn HM 5w30 will be common unless rebates on other brand name oils.

Just curious. Would you run a Supertech ST3614 and change every 5k or run a Fram Ultra and change every other OCI at 10k?
Probably wont make a difference in my non educated guess but im curious of your thoughts.

Also my sons 99 4cyl Accord the filter is up on the back of the engine. Not easy to access. Thinking of doing every other 5k OCI for 10 k on the filter with the Fram ultra 9688. Or should I push a ST9688 since the box says 10k miles.

Opinions matter! Lol. Thanks!

Maybe switch to the longer #3600.
If there’s enough room for a PH8A, use that.
I think the PH8A is larger in diameter than a 3600 and 3614 so it won't work.

Since he does 5k changes, I would also do 5k filter changes too. The ST3614 filter will do fine. I am not a big fan of leaving a quart of dirty oil in the mix with that new oil.

Yeah. That was a while ago. I guess any filter is better than no filter. Lol. Ive upped my OCI to 5k since reading more. I think ill just stick with the ST filter on my Camry for 5k and run the Fram Ultra on my kids Honda for 2 OCI. That little filter is not in a easy spot IMO.

I did just see something where a guy got a Ultra with a Ecore plastic cage. Those dont bother me but im curious what else they changed.
Any thoughts on that?

Simple answer: go get a few CQ Premiums filters. I don’t trust the current First Brands offerings at all.
