My Community Coffee K Cups are about 57 cents each .
I'm a coffee snob and I get it, actually. I don't mind some instants and I use them when camping and hiking.
But in the same amount of time it takes to make a cup of instant (waiting for the kettle), I can just as quickly do a pour over with my Hario V60.

Only when everyone is still sleeping; my espresso machines are noisy.
I shared that sentiment for a long time. I tried to drink the stuff, but never liked it.I'm 77 and confess that I've never had a cup of coffee in my life. I can't understand why something that smells so good tastes so bad.
Then I started my second job. My department was in a separate building from Corporate HQ so we had one of those 30-cup coffee urns in the break room and there was a supervisor who opened the place around 6AM so he'd make the first pot. I don't know what he did to the coffee, but it was good stuff and that's when I got hooked.
Keurig for the win, once I found Barista Prima Italian Dark Roast, never looked back. A splash of half and half and a level teaspoon of real sugar and I'm good to go.
Can't remember the last time I drank Instant Coffee. Only one Keurig so far in my experience. Tasted like bad expresso.
Any coffee is better than no coffee.
I have some instant around. Some brands are better than others. I wouldn't want it much more than occasionally.
If you want one cup at a time try a french press. K-cup is a reasonable alternative - still not great but better than instant.

Instant coffee only in Chinese restaurants because that is all they ever have.
All you can get from K-cups is weak, watery tasting coffee. Yes, tried everything. Even the Espresso settings and finest grinds of strong coffee are still a joke.

Same here, pour over is about as easy as it gets. I have a plastic basket I bought for backpacking years ago and still use it with a plastic double-walled mug. I even used it when I went bikepacking last year, it's that easy to pack.
