It just took McDonalds no less then 4 times to get my family's order correct. You can no longer trust the packaging - I got a Big Mac in a Big and Tasty Box.

I know, I know, it's rat food, but it sounded good and it's the first "bad" fast food I've had in a while.

It's nice to see YOU never make mistakes. You need to get a life instead of worrying about the little stuff. The people that work there do not exactly make big bucks.

They should at least care enough about their job to get it right................the 3rd TIME.

But I digress, most of them don't speak English, which is another symptom of our country spiraling down the proverbial toilet.

Good thing you didn't give them coins with the bills,It would have really knocked them for a loop.

Ouch....

I had a girl at McDonalds give me five quarters as change after she tried to count it out.. Either she couldn't count, or didn't know how much the coins were worth..

Personally, I think the O/P has a very valid point. I'm on the road a lot and fast food is convenient since I am usually on a tight schedule. It varies, but there are times I have maybe a 30% success rate rate running for the week with regard to getting the correct edible food, etc.

Order a pizza and the toppings hit maybe 60% of the slices with 3 or 4 slices missing cheeze due to bubbles not popped in the oven. Orders seriously screwed up. The wage level should not make a difference. Training and proper supervision should.

I eat at Wendy's every once in awhile when I am in a hurry. I never had a problem with them.

Sometimes people just have a bad day. At least they are out there working so I give them credit for that.

Here`s how it always happens to me:

If I don`t check my order before I leave,I get home and it`ll be wrong 100% of the time.

If I check my order before I drive away,it`s always right on!

If you are paying with cash, don't ever give them any change.

It blows them up. They cannot handle it.

example: Your total is $4.77. You give them $5.02. $5.02 - $4.77 = .25. One quarter. One quarter instead of two dimes and three pennies. But they cannot wrap their heads around it.

It's even worse when you try to do it with paper money.
If your total is $15.77 and you try to give them $21.02 to get back a $5 and a quarter instead of four $1s, 2 .10S, and 3 .01s they will either give you back the the one and the pennies or give you too much money back.

Simple math. They can't do it and we are trusting them to get our orders right.

Around here they make $9 an hour AND get benefits.

I ordered a Filet-o-Fish once and got a chicken patty covered in tartar sauce. It was different, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Wendy's is pretty good. One or two mistakes but nothing major. And when I pay with change they can do the math, which I appreciate.

We were at Dennys in California because nothing else was open for a super late dinner after getting off a flight.

My gf ordered a chicken sandwich. It came out, and she bit into it, and it was totally brown inside. I thought it was rotten meat.

It turns out it was a country fried steak. The manager came out and apologized..

I am pretty lucky where I live. Mcdonalds actually hires decent people and have never had a problem with them. Tim Hortons on the other hand. I swear, they have the worst hiring policies around. Talk about rude and screwing up your order. I don't know how someone can screw up a cup of coffee!!!

Same here in Miami...There are alot of lunatics down here and some of the crazy customers actually call 911 when they are told they are out of a certain thing for their order...Some customers actually throw the hot coffee back at the server...Plus the night shift employees down here get robbed alot.

Yes, that's not livable wage.

It depends. The chain stores seem okay around me. Then again, the area is poor as dirt. Everybody commutes 25, 50, 75 miles one way to get a job. So having a local job paying $10/hour+benefits is better than driving your mid-90's pickup 100 miles per day to a job paying just a little more. With gas at $2.80, filling a 20 gallon tank twice a week gets expensive. Most of the folks can't write that expense off, either.

Around here, there are houses selling for $40k. Not handyman specials. A $100k house is a very nice house that would go for 3-4x the price anywhere else.

So, the folks who have jobs around here tend to hold onto them. The way to do that is by being helpful. The guy at Lowe's told me the difference between 2 cans of spray foam, and was right.
