I put my dog down this morning

I really wish I knew what to say, but I don't. I still miss my old Italian Greyhound/Jack Russell mutt. Even still refer to her in my screen name.

I just know she is somewhere where there are plenty of rabbits to chase and the squeaker in the toys never breaks.

Audi Junkie, my dog has had tumors on her gums. Sometimes they get them and about 6 weeks later its gone. They're usually benign. Sometimes they stay. For the last few years my dog has had a dime-sized one that didn't go away. I've had 2 vets check it and they recommended to leave it be as long as it doesn't affect their bite or keep growing.

My condolences. Please welcome me to the club as well. I just lost my dog two weeks ago after 17 years of faithful companionship. He passed on his own from old age. I was with him during his last moments. I'm now left with the wonderful memories of our time together.

Whoever invented dogs did a great job.
