Sorry for you father's passing. Both my parents are gone and have been for years. I still miss the family routines we used to have, like enjoying a New Year's Day college football afternoon and dinner at their house.

Sorry to hear this, I often talk to my parents in my nightly prayers. My Father, a Marine, died 22 years ago at the age of 78. Even though we become independent as we grow up, it was just somehow comforting to have you parent's around - even if they were 1500 miles away in their dream retirement home living it up.

Sorry that you lost your father that way and so young.
My parents are both gone but they are still with me in my thoughts ( I think about them a lot ) and how I try to live my life based on what they showed me.

Only just over 6 years older than me, and frankly I do NOT consider myself old. Not making light of this, just too young is all.
I'm so sorry to hear this! Saying a prayer for you and your family.
I lost both parents last year. Today is the one year anniversary of their joint funeral. They say that real sense of loss eases in time, I hope that's true. I was blessed to have amazing parents, and will spend the rest of my days trying to live up to their example.

So sorry to hear this Adam, my thoughts are with you sir.
I lost my father when I was 7 and my grandfather at 19. I often tell folks, time heals wounds, but the wounds never disappear. Take some time to grieve and reach out to those close to you for comfort.

I'm truly sorry to hear that, and I can relate. My father and brother faced similar situations because they didn't follow their doctor's advice. Now that I'm in the fourth quarter of life, I give thanks every day for making it this far.
