I lost my father today

My condolences. A myocardial rupture is a possible but rare complication following myocardial infarction. The rupture happens due to damage to the cardiac muscle tissue.
Not myocardial but myocardiac. I was seven keys off! I should not use the phone for posting.

Found more pics of dad with his 55’ Chevy and his 82’ R Model MACK day cab semi. Man, brings back so many memories. Can’t wait to shoot the 38 special I inherited from him and 32 special Winchester lever action rifle. You can’t put scope on it; it ejects out top.

Can you find ammo for the rifle? My buddy rarely could.

So, my work is making a donation to a cancer place near Dubois dad supported. Even my brothers company is making a donation. If anyone would like to see the obituary; let me know.

Well, he should’ve not let his ego and pride get in way of calling me or brother or 911

I’ll share more pics after Monday

Funeral yesterday went better than expected. He was one of 7 children also we saw grandkids and their kids. Some older folks I was surprised were still alive and well. He had tons of natural gas and oil field workers/friends that showed up. Great stories I heard.

Today we chanted oil in Farmall H tractor and started the 67’ Cuda

Cleaned some junk out of house and made donations to food pantry. Took lots of beef roasts and walleye filets back. House has coal soot and dust over everything so we cleaned much as we could. I wore gloves and mask.
Brought my old country cds back. Hank Williams, Alabama and Travis Trit

Took me a good 6 years before I could go through my dads shop. It was pretty emotional everytime I would walk in. It helped that my cousin and his wife was there. They took a trunkload of tools back home that they could use.

My dad was a packrat, and going through the stuff, mostly worthless, was both painful and infuriating. He was in another province, so we had to take LOAs from work to get rid of his stuff

Don't do this to your children.

That generation saved everything. The generation before that saved everything and tin cans and glass jars.

There was an element of that - Dad was born in 1923, was a child of the Great Depression, and served in the Canadian Army during WW2, going ashore on D+2.

He tended to equate more stuff, even junk, as a sign of prosperity.

We moved a lot, living in four different provinces and 11 different houses during my school years (K - 12), and was always proud of how the movers consistently underestimated how big a truck they'd need.

One example was a huge gasoline-engine reel-type lawn mower that he had inherited and moved from place to place and never used once. It was too good to get rid of, and too cumbersome to use.

Not to mention the inherited antique furniture that had to be kept and stored because it was too good to use ...

Yeah, dad has “tri 5 Chevy” or 55-57 chevybtrim we are certain upstairs garage. Lots of MOPAR parts too. Lots of junk though as well. Old AC stick welder and thousands of welding rods.

A correction on 67’ Barracuda; motor is original 273 v-8. Beother had it hired to 340 I believe. Mild cam and parts put in. Sounds great. We are keeping that vehicle; more than likely selling the 70’ Dart

Truly sorry to hear of your loss.
Keep him alive thru your memories and thinking of the good times.
He will live on inside you always.
^^^^^^^^^^^ This. I also lost my father in March of this year. Just when I think I have grieved completely, I sometimes think of him and lose it (like right now). Take core fren, it will get better.
