I lost my father today

^^^^^^^^^^^ This. I also lost my father in March of this year. Just when I think I have grieved completely, I sometimes think of him and lose it (like right now). Take core fren, it will get better.
It is very hard to accept for a lot of us. Especially if you were blessed to grow up close to your Father or Mother. Be prepared for this to happen to you on and off. This is a good thing in that He is still with you in spirit , in your memories. God Bless you and him.

Yeah, we are deciding on which pics we each want to keep.

It’s gonna be pure hell to go thru the 💩💩💩💩 in that filthy coal soot laden and dusty cover web rod house too.

Talked with brother; we both are wanting biggest roll off dumpster and just start chucking stuff for what we are worth over a 3 day weekend or two.

Then auction for garage and probably what’s left of shell of house.

When I cleaned out parents house it was quite the surprise and a hefty task. It was the wife and myself with no help from anyone else.

Parents had a 4 bedroom house with 3 baths and lots of storage in attic and a shed plus garage. I actually hired a trucking company to sit a full tractor trailer sized dumpster in the driveway so I could work at my own pace. In two weeks time , I did in fact fill that dumpster to the top.

I could not believe it if I had not seen it with my own eyes. Fifty something years of things my mom never threw away! Woof......

Talked to friend back home that does dumpster roll off stuff. Talking brother into that. Dad has stufff he just stacked and stacked and didn’t care about. Paperwork is now all gone as weeded it all out. Some metal toys I remember playing with, matchbox stuff and zippo lighters I took and few Fairman Drilling jackets and memorabilia We have 6 months to settle with PA. Dumpster be about right. Brother got hood of junk guy and auctioneers

To update this; we done tons of cleanup and probably gonna sell house as is. Some of the car/vehicle parts I took back home. The CUDA and dart and S-10 are in storage at loyal friend of fathers heated shop. For free. Boat and trailer sold. The lighters still work but think ran out of fluid already. I’m deciding which fishing lures and poles I want to keep and ones I may give to friends at American Legion. Clothes we donated to GOODWILL

Good luck with everything. Hope things get a bit easier as you sort thru what needs doing.
