HPL 5W40 Supercar 10,137 miles 2005 Mercedes S600 M275

Exxon most frequently. Shell. Sunoco. All are 93 octane. I don’t really notice a difference in fuel performance, but I rarely, and I mean rarely, put my foot all the way down.
You restrain yourself on the road because you get to use TO/GA? Or because in an S600 the gas pedal is more like police attractant? 🤣

You need to put your foot down 80 percent routinely…

Just to live a little.
It goes 0-60 in about 4 seconds - so, in Virginia Beach, I am going from a full stop to a ticket in about 3 seconds.

It goes from 60-120 in about 6 seconds - so, again, legal to ticket in under 2 seconds.

One has to be rather careful about full throttle in that car.

As a note - the SL600 is much quicker and one has to be really careful in that car!

I've seen several posts now floating around the BITOGosphere saying HPL oils have a bit of base-level Al in them....I've seen elevated Al now for a while and I wonder, like Si, if a portion of it is now normal/can be backed out?

And one more time for my own sanity, Supercar 5W40 = Euro 5W40, exactly same product/different label correct?
Yes, some of the VOAs of HPL show as high as 12ppm Al; Dave said this is a byproduct of the manufacturing process of some of the additives IIRC and is not really “12 ppm of Al particles” floating around. I would personally subtract from a UOA similar to virgin silicon & oxidation numbers. 👍🏻

I think it’s $35 prepaid, purchased through them, don’t quote me on that, as I bought them with a big order.

I bought this extractor - works great. Pull a sample through clean/new tubing so that it stays uncontaminated.

I also bought a bunch of new 1/4 inch nylon tubing to do the extraction.
That's a nifty tool, I buy large disposable cheap syringes from Amazon and clean tubing but may pick this up.

Woah, great info and likely why my Al is higher now than originally way back when on my trend before using HPL.

Nifty, indeed!

You screw the sample jar from the HPL kit into the tool. Insert the tubing in the top, and tighten the fitting. A couple pumps establish vacuum inside the sample jar.

Oil flows in. Hit the vacuum release when it’s near full.

Unscrew the jar, put on the lid, dispose of the tubing.

The tool doesn’t even get dirty. Very neat. Very clean.

When I talked to mobile 1 yesterday, they told me that supercar 5W-50 and their euro 5W-50 were different. A couple of things that they told me were different was 1200 ppm zinc in the Supercar oil and only 1000 in the Euro. Plus, if I remember correctly, there was more phosphorus in the supercar.
I should’ve asked them how long the Supercar 5w-50 is good for when you track the car and daily drive it.
I have a 2022 Mach 1 Mustang with the 5 L coyote and about 9400 miles on it. Everything I’ve read so far says to always change to fresh oil before you track and after you track.
I’m wondering since I’m using Mobile 1supercar 5W-50 would it be OK to change to that before I go to Summit Point track for about 80 minutes? Then just leave the oil in for another 5000 miles or so, since it has heat exchangers for all the fluids, including the oil cooler and it holds 10 quarts of oil? And after all, it is Supercar 5W-50.
And would it be different if I was going to VIR Virginia international raceway, which is a bigger faster track?
Thank you.
