47 years in the same spot and this is new to me. We have chickens. Had them for years. They live in a chain link dog kennel. Few days ago "something" pulled a couple of the chickens through the fence. The coop is about 25 ft from our bedroom window.

We put chicken wire all around and on top of the chain link Tuesday.

I put a camera out there to see what's going on. Herd all kinds of noise from the chickens about 12:30a this morning. Shined a light and saw a bob cat.

Scared him off but he was back in 5 minutes. This went on for a couple of hours.

He,she,it whatever it identifies as is a beautiful animal. I don't want to kill it. Can't relocate it.

What can I do to keep it away from the chickens? Will it eventually give up since it can't get to them? Or will it come back every night?

In one pic you can see it on top of my coop!

somewhere I heard a radio (am/fm) will freak them out . . . . ??
tune into a station, a little volume & see what happens.

This is easy. Just install tubing at the bottom of the fence from one post to the other and then wire the fence to the new tubing so it won't flex.

Cool pics. 👍

I dont know if they are protected where you are. If so you might have to live trap it and call Wildlife Management to relocate it. Once they find an easy meal they will continue to come around. The upside is he will probably run into a haveaheart baited with chicken parts.
