How many use Mobil1 Truck & Suv, and what type engine?

I will use it in my Audi 80 1.6, provided that the Delvac 1 I am going to buy next month is API CI-4/SL rated. The last time I bought Delvac 1 (for our tractors), it was CH-4/SJ only. That was in February this year. EM is a little lazy here in Germany

I just changed oil in 3 of our Trucks.. Mostly farm use.

All received M1 5W-40.--> Wix filters.
All the flat beds have over 150K miles on them.

This is the 4th fill of 5W-40 in all 3.. change oil every six months. With hardly a drop used between oil changes.

M1 5W-40 is a great oil. I use it all yr round with these trucks. 1-has a big block the other 2 are 350 small blocks... GMC.

My Audi TT 225 QR get it. 5w-40 is recommended by the manual so I use T&S in it. I was using it in my Durango but I got cheap with my truck. I am using Supertech Synthetic in the truck now, but as I have been worrying about protection lately i think i am going to switch back. I am NOT buying anymore vehicles for awhile. These will have to last me!

I have previously used the Delvac-1 labeled product in my VW Golf TDI (tiny diesel inside).

I started using Delvac-1 back in 1999 because VW called for a synthetic 5W-40 and this was the only product available to me locally. This was before the dealerships even had the Castrol 5W-40. The oil turned out to be the best oil I've ever used.

After nearly 7 years of ownership I now tend to play around with different oils and my last case of Delvac-1 that I purchased is getting dusty but it will likely get poured into something that I cherish highly.

Have 5W-30 in my sisters 1998 Ford Expedition with the 4.6L engine. Motorcraft filter. Chose it because I get weary of choosing other Synthetic motor oils because I don't know how they'll live up to extended oil drains and if their quality is as high as they claim. I've used Mobil1 Synthetic and I had no complaints.

The only place I've seen it for sale though is in a Wal-Mart about 50 miles from my house! What chains carry this oil, besides Wal-Mart? There's a Sam's Club nearby, but they don't have it.

I have a 944 also. I checked the Mobil site and their oil selector shows M1 5W40 for the 944. Sounds like a good choice to me. Porsche recommends 0W40 also. I use 0W40 in my Audi A4, but would use the 5W40 in my 944 if I ever switched over from dino oil, which I may do sometime down the road, if I felt I wouldn't show up any leaks.

2002 Ford Explorer 4x4, 4.0L SOHC

I was using M1EP 5W-30 but noticed a rattle coming from the engine. This Ford engine can have issues with it's cam chain which is what I was worried about.

I just switched over to T&SUV and guess what? The noise is gone. I guess the 5-30 is too thin for this engine even though Ford recommends it.

I plan on running it in my Cavalier 2.4L DOHC after I finish this OCI of M1EP 5W30 because I think I can hear valve lifter noise at idle.

I am wondering if M1EP5-30 is just too thin for some engines.

You heavier weight is a cover-up... not a cure. All it does id deaden/mask sound. Ford uses thinner oil than 10cSt EP 5W-30 in Explorers.

I've been using D1 (from AVLube) and now M1 T&SUV (from Wal-Mart) in my 03 Duramax Diesel since 24kmiles (currently at 52K) with good UOA results.

.. and, just switched my 04 Impala's 3.4L V6 to M1 T&SUV from M1 5w30.. Since the change my wife said "what did you do to the car? It’s running smoother and quieter .." I'm interested to see if there will be any improvements in the 3.4's UOA at the next change.

I chose D1/M1T&SUV for the Duramax because I wanted a premium 5w40 Group IV Synthetic. … switched the 3.4 because for the robust add-pack - especially ZDDP …

I use it year round in a '91 Infiniti Q45, and from November through April in a 2003 GMC Sierra 2500HD Duramax turbodiesel.
