Honestly Honda has never been about flashy exterior design, and I've been around them since the early 80s working in Honda dealerships. Perhaps the most distinctive version of the Accord was the third generation models from 86-89. With the pop up headlamps.
But honestly where Honda always shined was the polish and refinement of the product, with great handling right out of the box and very high quality, this is where they have slipped lately, and they need to bring back the great handling and high quality hard parts.
I'm happy to see that they are FINALLY putting the US Accord back on the RoW Accord platform because the most recent models are TOO big.
And of course Honda is only one of a few companies left offering a family sedan with a manual transmission in both 4 and 6 cylinder models at an affordable price.
I think this car will be a big hit for Honda in the USA.
Essentially Honda returning to its roots to a degree, which is MUCH needed.
