Hey, I don't want to be there; it's not my war. But if it was my war, I'd want to win every battle decisively. Of course, my primary objective would be to get out of the war zone as soon as possible!

It sounded so good though "if you're lucky, you'll bag a big one next time ..maybe two.." ..

..please don't alter that image ..it just worked so well in text form. It surely struck my dark humor funny bone.

Well, I can't say my wording isn't the result of some dark thoughts. That image probably isn't that far off!

Make sure you get a couple of speed loaders too. It's nice in case you need to reload.

Also don't forget your LED Flashlight. I have a 160 lumen torche that will darn near blind someone, and 14 rounds of .45 auto staring at them!

Those .38 +P's look good, designed for short barrel guns. I wonder how they compare to .357 out of a short barrel? I have a SP101 in .357 that I use 125 gr. JHP's with.

38 special (even +p) produces darn near half the energy of full house 357 magnum, so any 357 magnum out of a snubby is going to produce a minimum of 400 Ft. Lbs., where as 38 special will be roughly 200 Ft. Lbs.

Buffalo Bore makes a great short barrel round in 357 that is loaded a bit lighter with flash suppressed powder - no muzzle flash and a lot less noise and recoil.

But that short barrel speer 38+P is supposed to be the best round for snubby 38 special.

I switch between a .38 snub and a .40 compact.

Excellent you have protection.

Now go join the NRA and even more important, go out and SHOOT the gun.

Practice is a good thing!

Take care, Bill

Sure, Charter. I'm just quoting a friend, it is on permanent loan...I haven't picked it up yet, nor had the chance to shoot it, maybe this week if I have time. I have a new job starting, as well as the holidays, but fortunately I have two great ranges almost within walking distance.

wow man what a story! Glad yur ok.. for them to come back, and approach you again, suggest they are gang members... but jesus man yuo are lucky..
jsut be careful when using a gun in self defense... alot of times, the innicent person with the gun, even fo self defense, eds up goign to jail too... because in the laws eyes, YUO fired the first shot...even if he is approaching you with weapon. Read mnay articels about things like this...
remember years ago, like around 1989..in CA, a thief was locked in some guys gargage for days...in court, the thief sued the owner of the home, and won...
so! im all for guns...but be weary of how the law works... if yuo need fire shots, ide rather not call the cops... becuase it may be yuo in jail, nad not them, or both..

They should be going to the morgue. No respect of OPP. (mm doesn't have the hitting power of a 40S&W. You can also switch the barrel to shoot a 357sig round.

That is why people live in states that you have the right to protect life and property.

If they are on your property doing harm, the law is with the victim. I've seen it many many times that the Police / District Attorney state publicly that no charges will be considered as the bad guy was doing bad and the shooter was protecting his life/property.

Some states protect the scum.

They have the crime rates to show for it.

When you have seconds to protect yourself, the police take minutes. They take good reports.

Take care, bill

Welcome to Michigan. The law reads you're better to help them than stop them.

If you see someone trying to break into your house, make sure they are dead instead of injured, a couple extra panic shots wouldn't hurt.

This way you can prevent any lawsuit solicited by the corrupted lawyers.
