I‘d take that bet

Reminds me of Seinfeld and the drive with the Saab with the gas gauge on empty. LolWhy stop there? Why not just leave it and NEVER change it?![]()
What about VW/Audi? They regularly jump time also, or is that just a crappy tensioner?this myth originates from GM’s massive cope for the crappy roller chains in the older 3.6
[/QUOTE]Love, love, love those long runs. More details or UOA. What vehicle, top ups etc. Thanks.

No, what about VW 2.0T?

That Pennzoil 10w30 sounds good. Run it long, run it hard, keep top ups to a minimum if possible. Thanks Stumpy! After my fill of Carquest/Amalie 10w-30 HM Synthetic I plan on running 15-17k, I was wanting to do another 20-22K OCI. I was thinking a synthetic SN rated 5w-40 like Delo but was also thinking of running a 10w-30 Pennzoil "PurePlus" Platinum to see if the "Gas to Liquid" bluster has any veracity. What do y'all think?
Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll let y'all know what I decide on. Really leaning toward some Pennzoil Gas to Liquid Synthetic 10w-30 to see if the "hub-bub" is all that but may try a SN or SP %w-40! I think I'll stick with the Fram XG3600 to keep things equal as possible. The 22K OCI showed filtration was top notch.
No, what about a version of the VW 2.0T?

Delo 5w-40 is SN.I may be wrong but I doubt there are any SP 0w/5w40’s
YeeeeeeeeeHaw!I'd run this one:

TIMING CHAIN and its a 2009 so its port fuel injection. NO WAY would I run a GDI that long. Fuel dilution of the oil is a game changer from what I have researched and the repair techs I have talked to. Just look at the GM 2.4 fiasco and the issues with Honda CRV's. Everyday folks have no idea the added costs the Obama-era CAFE standards are gonna have on them down the road. Forcing the car makers to go to GDI and small displacement turbo engines will hurt the average Joe when they run outta warranty and need to have the turbo's to be replaced or the valves decarbonized or that 1500 psi injector pump replaced. I have never been able to afford a new vehicle but when it comes time to replace any car in my stable, I will look for a model with one of the last non-turbo's port injection engines OR a GDI that sprays over the valves as well.Does your car have a timing chain or timing belt? God help your timing chain if you have one, if you have a GDI.
Thankfully, the CRV 'problems' have all been but fixed with software updates and none of the Civi/CRV's are having issues with carbon like some other GDI engines have.TIMING CHAIN and its a 2009 so its port fuel injection. Kramer: I'll get candy bars.Reminds me of Seinfeld and the drive with the Saab with the gas gauge on empty. Lol
Good luck, OP.
here we go again! Why not change the filter with every fuel fillup?
The Germans for some reason seem to be having the bulk of the carbon GDI issues. Maybe if they'd use tighter valve stem seals!!!!!! Glad Toyota and Ford added port injection with GDI to avoid the carbon issue. Now there are 8 fuel injectors for a 4 cylinder! Glad Honda fixed their issue! Allegedly! Hopefully, it will be a better fix than their 5-speed tranny fixes or the their cylinder deactivation oil burning issues.Thankfully, the CRV 'problems' have all been but fixed with software updates and none of the Civi/CRV's are having issues with carbon like some other GDI engines have.
