Swore I'd never do it again, but....C&P, FE-7317, 15657mi, 3 OCI

For me I was more wondering if I could really take it farther, now that most have determined the Endurance to be constructed like the old Ultra with wire backed media. Yes it was and I would have been comfortable to take this filter farther.
Amazing what 5 months will do to the opinions on this filter. You still committed?
(You can revue my post as to my “opinion”.)
Careful, there’s a fierce drum beat on this topic now.

If you were that concerned about the bypass valve leaking, you could probably get enough epoxy down in there to glue it shut permanently. We used to block off the bypass on performance oriented SBC builds when I worked in a machine shop as a young man in the 1980s.

I would do it living in Central Texas like I do, probably not in Yellowknife though.

Thanks for making me aware of the "light bypass" issue. I'm thinking it's much ado about nothing, but to each their own.

So, I put a Fram Ultra XG7317 on my 2016 2.4 L gasoline CRV on Feb. 21, 2023 at 34,389 miles, left that filter on and did a drain and fill on Dec. 8, 2023 at 37,905, using PUP 0W-20 both times, and now at 41,300 the maintance minder is at 30% and due to drop to 20% soon (I do my oc asap after it drops to 20%).

Right now that filter will have about 7,000 miles on it during about 570 days when I do this upcoming oc.

If I leave it on it will be about 850 days and 10,500 miles when the next oc comes up.

Honda says run the filter for 2 oc. But it is a Fram Ultra with synthetic media.

The filter looks fine on the outside (no rust).

I expect my usage miles and time for the next oc to be very similar to the past. So, the question is, should I just do another drain and fill with PUP 0W-20, and run that filter for a third oc, or put a new Fram Ultra on when doing this upcoming change?

All my filters go 2X oil changes, which equates to 10K-12K miles. Zero problems so far, and I have been doing this since 2006 when my Honda Odyssey first recommended it. Since then, and looking at all the great pics here on BITOG, I do 2X interval on all my vehicles filters.
