GC in square bottle?

I picked up some GC last night and it was in a strange square bottles? first time I have seen it in these square bottles

the label says "castrol Syntec unlock the power European formula. M0528768BTW37062

I've noticed this as well... This was the previous bottle-design that Castrol used for SYNTEC... I assume they must have had some left over. They changed over to the newer design about five or seven years ago??

Strange it is Made in Germany but the bottle is American? Castrol must ship the GC over in big barrels then place it in the bottles here.
