ok, I just saw it on the local news a few hours ago. oil a barrell on 7/10 was $147
oil a barrell on 9/15 is $95

Oil prices dropped today! gas prices still going up.

Just curious Al, how are you able to find out wholesale prices. Would be nice to know.

Just east of Knoxville TN...still 4.49 most places. Two places lowered to 4.09 this morning.

I googled "knoxville gas prices" and found out we had the highest gas prices in the country over the weekend. What a load. The Colionial pipeline runs through Knoxville. Why was gas higher here than HI, Alaska, NYC, and Los Angeles? If the price gouging investigation does not turn something up I will be shocked.

Major price gouging here in Charlotte caused by wholesalers.

Some may be withholding supply from retailers.

The scum is coming to the top.

How much did the station pay for the gas? oil is a monopoly.

I think he looks at futures markets.

My spot price as of 6:00 PM last night was $3.017500 for generic 87 AKI, that includes the trust fund tax, but excludes all other taxes, freight, etc. That does not necessarily mean they have any gas to sell me, but if they did, that is my wholesale price.

I don't get the best price, because I don't buy very much, and lately I only buy a few thousand gallons at a time - enough for a few days of sales and to keep the tanks from floating out of the ground when a big rain comes along. I've been expecting the price to collapse since June, so I want to minimize my loss on the way down by keeping inventory low. We're pretty close to it now since crude is in free fall, and eventually it will filter through to retail.

around my neighborhood, all the generic gas places are out of gas. Cirle K, quick sak, mapco stations are out of all grades. the main gas stations: exxon, shell, even walmart are still selling gas around here.

Dittos.

It was odd to see the Home Depot gas station's price of $0.00 on their big sign next to the interstate.

At first, when I saw no gas price listed on their board. I thought the prices were so high, that they didn't list it, but I found out the pumps all had bags on them. they were completely out.

Gas has been jumping all over the place since last Thurs. But a cursory check online suggests it's hanging around $1.48/L or $5.60 gallon.

It's still $4.29 here at the stations that are open. I hope to heck it drops later in the week, I'd love to not go into hock to visit my loved ones. Sometimes a telephone just doesn't do.

Today in the Knoxville TN area the price for 87 dropped to 3.99/gallon down .50 cents from the weekend. Some stations sat at 4.99 all weekend.

Before the "fuel crisis" last week our gas was 3.49/gallon.

there are some sneaky gas stations that are not putting up gas prices, but they are still selling gas. I guess they don't want to be reported for gouging by people driving by

We have started to drop here in KC, before Ike we were down to $3.36 and went to $3.59. Today back to $3.49. Hope it keeps up.

The Jet-Pep down the street from my house is back to $3.55, which is where they were Pre-Ike.

Knoxville area has now dropped to 3.69 at every station I saw. On sat. the cheapest was 4.49 and the highest was 4.99 split about 50/50 among the stations that had fuel. Massive price gouge. We saw it coming and our liberaltard govna' would not price fix like all the other states around us.

Prices are dropping fast in Toronto, although they are still too high. The price at 95% of all stations in Toronto last week was $5.23 a gallon, but now as of midnight that will come down to $4.53 per gallon. Still a long way to go, but at least it's going down!

And my parents just gave me a $50 Petro Canada gift card that my dad got from accumulating Petro Points over the past 4 or 5 years (he's got enough points for about $900 worth of free gas!)

average gas prices in Nashville area is $3.99 a gallon posted on nashvillegasprices.com
