Gas price Panic buying at it's finest!

Before the price shot up, I went and filled up a 5 gallon can.

With that, I have nearly enough to refill the motorcycle when the time comes, towards the end of next week.

The truck is full. However, it doesn't get used much this time of year.

Unused trucks, great storage devices, can be tapped at the fuel rail schraeder valve to refill more efficient vehicles. Jumper the fuel pump somehow to pump it out.

Market has already decided there is no problem. Wholesale gasoline prices are $2.60 this morning. For me in Pa that means gasoline should be around $3.23 In theory that means gasoline prices should be down 20 cents from last week. Won't happen though.

On my morning commute, I see that gas prices (87 oct.) are at an avg. of $4.29 here in North AL. Thanks, Sheeple!

these gas prices will stay high for sure. the generic gas stations around me are totally out of gas (regular, mid grade, and premium)

Prices here in my area of Illinois are still going up.

I too am in Central IL, near STL.

I had a service call in Columbia, MO on Saturday and paid $3.559 in Kingdom City, MO for regular unleaded. I found the same gas was $3.799 in the St. Louis area. I got back to IL after another two service calls at 2am and had to do a double take as a few of the Shell/Circle K's as well as a few BP's were trying to sell regular unleaded for $4.499/gallon.

Seems the local stations were mostly at $4.099 on the IL side.

(We have higher taxes, so it's typically higher by $0.20-$0.30/gallon than the STL area.)

But it seems a few tried to bump the price up. I haven't been out of the house yet today, so I don't know if it's gone up or down since yesterday evening.

As of now, Michigan, Georgia, Indiana, and Illinois have the highest prices in the contiguous 48 states.

Was $3.89 this morning on Long Island I saw it as high as $4.09. Came home a different way this afternoon and didn't notice if they raised it.

Whole prices still dropping...$2.54 as of 10 minutes ago. In Pa...that equates to about $3.19

There are still places around me selling for $4.69. I'll call them on that one!

Last time I bought gas was when I drove by a station at $3.96 when every other place was pushing $4.30. That station was hopping both inside and out!

I wish it would get back down to $3.19.
