$3.59 here. Heck, if this thing played out longer ...my pockets would be stuffed and overflowing with all the savings in avoided costs

My wife talked to someone from Chattanooga, TN yesterday, they said there wasn't any gas problems there.

The lines at the Kroger gas pumps were unbelievable the last few days. Yesterday, I was out around 10pm, I stopped there to fill up, no lines.

$3.969 per gallon is a decent price 'round here lately, if you can find any.

Here's yesterday afternoon at the only station on the north side of town that had gas:

The front side of the same gas station, the pic doesn't show the line waiting down the main road, and the resultant traffic jam due to everyone going to the same place.

I had to drive 50 miles outside of Nashville to get gas yesterday. I'm not revealing my gas source. Filled up my car to the brim, topped off a 5 gallon containers, and filled my new 5 gallon container. yeah, people were cursing at me. if you can't beat them, JOIN THEM!

is this low or what?

But along came Lisa Jacobs, who had 10 gallons of gas in the back of her SUV. She was selling it to stranded motorists — "for a slight surcharge for the time and trouble." Or for $5, she would tell motorists where she found the fuel.

"I decided there was a market for gas," said Jacobs, who lives in Franklin. "I'm trying to help others and help myself at the same time."

She sold Wood and his friends 2½ gallons for $7, giving them a discount because of their situation.

Delivered fuel? With some humanity involved for the sad story? I don't see it being too low. If there's enough of a market, there should be competition for such services. You're looking for a snow plow after a blizzard

Just curious, have you noticed less traffic on the streets? Maybe more people lined up at bus stops? Is Mel Gibson walking around wearing black leather?

less traffic on the interstate yesterday. Those on the interstate still speeding. I was driving 70 in a 70 zone. When I leave my apartment, the parking lot is full. I noticed a couple of people walking around the lot in circles. They must see me leave my apartment and think I'm getting gas from somewhere. lol no bus stops noticed. I still see long lines at gas stations that were getting tankers yesterday. I got enough gas to last me two weeks and my wife has enough for one week. now I got to worry about someone siphoning my tank.

you know what, since this gas shortage happened.
next year during hurricaine season, I'm going to have go through this all again. I'm going to have to do the EKpolk strategic gas reserve. I'm sure if I'm thinking about it, there are others in this city thinking about it too.

I was talking to a friend this morning. I joked that it was probably easier to find gas near the TN/AL state line than anywhere in/around Nashville. You've shown that it was not a joke at all, but a reality.

Darn, this makes me glad to have a locking gas cap.

Still $3.89-3.99 in Columbia. Hilton Head was down to $3.63. Glad my car's fuel leak is fixed, until the next rusty fuel line goes...

Were still suffering a shortage of gas. Idiots won't stop topping off their tanks. the local news said that people whose cars require Premium fuel have been SOL since the gas shortage. The stations that have been getting gas are getting regular only that IS if you can find gas! So if you have engine damage from running regular instead of your engine requiring premium. oh well

I had to watch it twice to read all the subtitles, I was laughing so hard I kept missing them.....

That is just so over the top, and I don't even know the area.
