Yep, it's going down to 113.5 per liter tomorrow in Toronto ($4.30 per gallon)

ok, this is serious. it's been a week since my wife got gas. she's on E, she can't get gas in Murfreesboro, TN! all the stations are empty. the Pilot gas station that's advertised for $3.79 off of I-24E , it's 50 cars deep! so she came home. now we have to go with my Sunfire to find a gas station for her vibe.

just got back, I couldn't gas gas. out of the 30 stations I passed on my 25 mile trip to downtown Nashville. about 5 or so stations had gas, with 20 cars deep. interesting, that I don't hear on the news about the gas shortage at all. there was no damage to the refineries in the gulf??

Just a thought I read on gasbuddies, stations are out because they are refusing delivery of expensive gas because they know it will be down in a week or so and dont want to be stuck with it?

This crazyness is exactly why I maintain my own personal SPR (strategic petro reserve). I'm fortunate to have a separate shed, with plenty of room, and I only fill cans during totally mundane times, when there's no hint of panic demand. When there is, that's when I get to stay away from the stations, and use my cans of fuel instead. I also rotate my "stock," every other week or so dumping the oldest can into one of the cars, and taking the empty with me to the station when I fill up. Today, I added my oldest five gallons (purchased 6/29) to my car, and didn't have to compete with anyone for gas at a station. Seven cans to go...

Just to walmart to stock up on food. walmart gas station had at least 100 cars waiting for gas at $3.91/gallon. the supercenter was a ghost town. Cashier told me that they aren't getting anymore gas until tuesday. WTH!! of course, they are sold out on gas cans and locking fuel caps. this isn't a natural disaster area either. The news said we get our gas from the colonial pipeline that comes from Houston. first time, I have seen this in my life. I'm only 31. Gas station owners on the news said they are selling 5x more gas than usual that's why were out. all the panic buying!!

My father in law just gave me 5 gallon gas that he had saved for his lawn mower. on the way home, a shell station had gas. but it was only $20 limit at 4.09 a gallon. Pay cash only!

I see why were out of gas

When I was coming home on the interstate, I laughed when I saw a Georgia plate pulling off of exit 59 to get gas. they probably don't know there isn't any gas.

Filled up the GC last Saturday at Shell in Mint Hill, NC @$4.29. The station was out of premium/plus. (My local Shell was totally out).

Topped up on Tue. evening @$3.89 at local Charlotte Petro Express. Plenty of gas.

Topped up Wed. at lunch stop somewhere in S. Carolina, @$4.09. (Exxon) Another nearby station was out of premium/plus.

Filled up Wed. evening in Palm Coast, FL at Kangreoo @$3.89.

Filled up today at 7/11 here in Fort Lauderdale, FL @$3.79.

Averaged about 58 MPH (including rest stops) and 26 MPG for 743 miles. Not too bad for an 8 year old Grand caravan with 106k miles.

Didn't see any major gas shortages like Cutehumor has reported.

Just curious, have you noticed less traffic on the streets? Maybe more people lined up at bus stops? Is Mel Gibson walking around wearing black leather?
