Ford factory installed steps on wrong side?

Could this be possible, seasoned Ford dealer implied Ford installed steps in the wrong side of pickup trucks

Really enjoy the videos from Whiteface Ford. The man in the video is one of the Whiteface Ford owners. I would not hesitate to bring my truck to Whiteface for services.

This video suggests Ford may have been installing the steps on the wrong side of their pickups for some time.

Fascinating if accurate.

Based on their L&R label it's correct but it does look better when swapped.

The floor boards are correctly. The body is backwards.
