If you HAVE to go with one of those two, go Ford, even though its powertrain is a generation behind the pickups I guess, anything is better then Government subsidized product.
Believe it or not there are people that have lifestyle's that make owning a mini-van impracticable. Mini-vans could tow and haul the payload for my trips. But a mini-van would not handle that pay load and towing two weekends a month very well. Add I am pretty sure my children appreciate not having to share their seats with luggage and camping supplies. Also I would need to place articles on the top of mini-vans that in a pickup I can place in the bed or in a SUV in the third row, I doubt that the mini-van would have any fuel economy advantages adding luggage to the top of vans tends to destroy fuel economy.
I agree, everyone needs a truck to tow their ski boats or gigantic pontoon boats everywhere they go at all times which justifies owning a pickup. 9 out of 10 pickups in texas have zero scratches on them. i've lived here for years. tell me more about how people really have A NEED for a pickup or large SUV.
