Flash point and high temp deposits

As a general rule: Yes. But as mentioned earlier additive packages make a difference.

But of you are anal about it and want the best protection for your turbo a Group V would be best.

Redline is a group V and the Flashpoint for the 5w30 is 252.

no
Bruce is there a difference in the deposits from different base oil types in the combustion chamber and in the engine and oil system in general.

yes you are correct PIB and Napthenic will form a soft ash PAO and GPII and GPIII will form a hard somtime abrasive ash esters are faily low in ash and all this is enhanced or improved by AO and other additives.
