Looking at some VOA’s on mobil1, valvoline, even through o rielly oil in there too. There’s nothing great about any of those oils other than they are slightly cheaper and more readily available at walmart.

Why? Both make quality oils. Have you learned nothing from this site at all?

I’ve a lot of motor oils at Walmart are more concerned about protecting emissions equipment than the engine.

I’ve been using that M1 junk for the last 2 decades in all of our family cars likely nearing a combined 1mm miles. I can’t even begin to explain how bad that stuff is

What do you expect a VOA to tell you about how an oil is going to perform? It's like looking at a generic parts list for a rifle and claiming you know how well it's going to shoot "oh, this has 5x 10mm bolts? hot ****, it's a 1/4 MOA rifle all day long!".

VOAs are not the correct tool for determining performance differences between oil.
