Expensive Italian Cars

I personally wouldn't want any of them. They are hard to get in and out of . Hard and expensive to maintain. Mostly you can't responsibly use the performance they offer . They are cars of passion and works of art. The Ferrari 308/328 is the nicest looking of them all pop off the top and go for a ride,,, there is almost nothing better [you do not even have to go fast]

Aside from the ability to swerve or stop, which I would argue you can never have enough of, you're right. Not even close. Not on public roads, anyway.

Very few people truly understand how fast a fast car is, let alone cars like these. I always laugh when I hear people brag about how hard they drive their late-model BMW M or Mercedes AMG cars. When I ask them about how hard, they tell me something like "oh, I take it up to 100 MPH" or "yeah, I take it to redline at least once a week." They would cry uncle in two seconds flat if they rode shotgun with someone who could drive their cars as they're meant to be driven. The cars in the OP would make their heads explode...

I consider them race cars for the street.

They are just toys for rich people, really. The whole point of their road cars is to fund their racing teams...

Even if I could afford either one, I would take a ZR1 over a 599. The 458 I'm not so sure about...

Several years ago Edmunds.com had a brand new 2001 Ferrari 550M Maranello as a long term test vehicle. They had so many problems in the first 5,000 miles that I lost all respect for the brand. You can read about it here.
