Wait till the big boys get in...
Venezuela oil is heavy crude that has to be thinned to even transport it. This is not a cheap process. Gulf coast refineries are the only one's that can refine it. So I think it will be some time for that oil to be flowing to the US.It's going to be interesting to see what is going to happen to the price of gas over time with this whole Venezuelan deal. My guess is it's going to be coming down. The only question is how much?
And with the extra added refining capacity we are now in control of over there, that is another positive. None of this is going to make EV's look any more appealing.
You mean the Wagoneer S? The Sales Manager at my dealer is currently driving the one I test drove (and posted the review of on here) that they brought in.Yes and they wanted an all electric Jeep too, both canned. Smart move imo.
Yeah, their goal was to make the price of gasoline so high in order to force people into electric cars... brilliant plan they had. This is a national security issue. Can't run a military on batteries. And if fuel prices skyrocket, then the economy is hurt, less tax money comes into the treasury and we continue on the road to self destruction. Gotta grow our way out of trouble, and that takes oil. Mary Barra was in the middle of a plan to electrify the entire lineup at GM. They were gonna be ICE free by 2035. A real smart one she is...It's going to be interesting to see what is going to happen to the price of gas over time with this whole Venezuelan deal. My guess is it's going to be coming down. Let me rephrase, I read they were ditching plans for the EV and basically what was already mentioned in the article linked. Can I testify what I read/ heard is true? No, but it makes sense. The market they're catering to doesn't want an EV, and their PHEV isn't anything to write home about. They have a chance with this administration to clean up with trucks powered by V8 engines. They should spend more money improving upon the Hemi, and the Hurricane I6 while the getting is good. You mean the Wagoneer S? It still shows on the site, as does the RECON BEV, but these are fully electric, not PHEV's like in the OP.
Well we used 20.2 MBD last year and our total refining capacity is 18.2 MBD. So when Exxon starts actually refining it I will believe them.Just yesterday, at the White House, the Exxon CEO said they had plenty of refining capacity to ramp it up as the sanctioned oil rolls in from Venezuela. New refineries are being built right now- one in Texas. And capacity is being increased at others. We're at the beginning of an oil boom right now. Regulations have been lifted. Times are changing.

For the last year, they've been going at light speed to take the chains off of fossil fuel energy production. It's happening and happening quickly. I've never seen anything like it before, the pace. It's astonishing.Well we used 20.2 MBD last year and our total refining capacity is 18.2 MBD. So when Exxon starts actually refining it I will believe them.
Where? Active rig count keeps declining because Shale isn't cost effective to drill below $65.For the last year, they've been going at light speed to take the chains off of fossil fuel energy production. What we are waiting on is something besides cute cars and ugly CT’s … in the meantime repeat after me:Wait till the big boys get in...
do bing or google since it would bust the political meter herewhat is a "shadow tanker scheme?"
Oil CEOs just said 2 days ago we have plenty of room to ramp up refining capacity, and they also said they are ready to preocess the heavy crude. Our problem is we don't have enough refining capacity for our own needs. We still ship in refined product. No one will build new ones here - process is too long and encumbered.
What’s a quite stop sale?Got it, this is totally because EVs and PHEVs are trash that “no one wants”.
This has nothing to do with Stellantis doing a quite stop sale starting around September 2025 for various safety related issues then telling current owners to stop charging their PHEVs in November 2025 and to park away from occupied structures.
Remember when she said “no more crappy cars”? She failed to follow through with that one tooYeah, their goal was to make the price of gasoline so high in order to force people into electric cars... brilliant plan they had.
