They also need to look at the brake light issue. I almost hit a Tesla the other day because they slow down so fast without hitting the brake pedal.
My tail lights come on the second I start lifting off the throttle. If anything they come on too sensitively in my experience.

Tesla regen braking turns on the brake lights. There is a threshold; it mimics brake pedal use. You don't want them coming on and off with each pedal modulation.
The dash tablet car display shows when they are on.

My understanding is, most, including hybrid cars that have Regen braking do the same. Otherwise there would be rear end accidents all the time.

Well this model Tesla was almost hit by my big truck. The brake lights did come on but not until the last moment. We were approaching a traffic light and I braked because he was going slower, I let off the brakes thinking he was going to go through the light but instead the Tesla almost came to a stop before his lights came on. Maybe a malfunction, I've followed other electric cars and never experienced this issue.

Could have been something wrong with the car. I've never experienced this behind other electric vehicles before. It was a good looking car though, I saw it at the grocery store earlier.

The other problem is the shared 10spd transmission those two are using, while RAM just soldiers on with the ZF 8HP.
Hate to say this but seeing 8 speed failures on the 2025 Rams. Maybe reach out to your dealer contact and see if they are seeing same. My research shows 8 speed production moved to Kokomo plant for 2025.

I know Kia and Hyundai had a recall for the car braking too hard without prompting the lights, but that was fixed already.

I will ask. That would be a real self-own if they've managed to bugger up what is currently the best transmission offered in the 1/2 ton segment.

It's not about the "quality" of the oil. It's about keeping our adversaries hands off of it. And in the process, out of our hemisphere. Venezuela has more oil than the Saudi's.

The super heavy crude for American refineries is currently coming from Canada. If Canadian oil is shut out, they’re just going to sell it elsewhere. Like China. They’re willing to take some losses on it because of how they can’t just shut it off like the Saudis can. Restarting is a real chore. Venezuela was supplying Cuba with oil and finished petroleum, but they’re pretty small potatoes.

The problem with Venezuelan crude isn’t really about how much they have, but how much it costs to extract and how much they can sell it for. Breakeven is estimated at $65-80 a barrel. Trying to increase Venezuelan crude production in order to reduce prices is counterproductive. Any oil company going in has to justify the effort and expense with high prices.

Jeep already has an EV in some markets called Avenger, which also has hybrid configuration as well as pure ev

I had to look up this one. Seems it would do well here in that small crossover EV segment. Odd we didn't get it. I figured they'd call it Renegade or even the new Liberty with this styling. I think it looks nice.

It does look nice, I bet they'd sell a lot of them running on gas.

FWIW energy independence doesn't = cheap gas. We get our heavy tar sand oil from Canada anyways and oil companies don't seem too eager to invest in a risky country. Hopefully our relationship w/Canada hasn't been destroyed.

China has a lot of small refineries (“teapot refineries”) that were processing heavy Venezuelan crude. But with the Trans Mountain Pipeline, Canadian oil can replace whatever might be lost.

I think at the right price it would do well in both segments.
It very well could, they'd just have to figure out how to make the platform able to profitably handle ICE and a battery with motors for those wanting one or the other. I have a feeling that would be challenging, but possible if they really wanted to go that route.

Exactly. Compromises can be good in the market but are just that; compromises.

And let’s face Jeep has the absolute worst reliability record on mother earth😕
I do admit that vehicle looks beautiful. One must not forget in the EU gasoline is massively more taxed and expensive than most of the USA so electric vehicles will always have a strong selling point there

In my unscientific opinion, people often fail to buy the vehicle that fits their particuliar use case.
People buy EVs who cannot charge at home and struggle.
Pickups that carry air...
Image... Sheesh.

They do not, lol.

Its even smaller than the renegade - maybe why its not here? Possibly replacement for the Renegade? I think the Renegade sells reasonably well so maybe there not ready to change?
