Deep cut near sidewall

Conti Viking Contact 7. Somehow missed this damage when I took them off in the spring. Just randomly spotted the cut as I was bringing the garbage bins into the garage. Whatever I ran over cut into the tire real deep. In the 2nd pic you can see it cut through a few cords/wires. Thankfully it's a relatively cheap tire size (195/65R15) so replacing it doesn't hurt too much. Plus the Viking Contact 8 is already out, so I could probably get a good deal on a 7.

Since it looks like the cut is down to the cord, I would replace the tire to be on the safe side.

Yes, i would replace, that sucks with decent remaining tread. I worry about water affecting the wire/cord and blowout potential at that location.

I want to say, slap some rubber cement on that and run it... but in reality, I'd replace it..
