Hey guys, are there any xw30 oils that have a d1g2 cert, but also have an hths greater than 3.1? A "thick" 30 wt? Heck, even a xw40 would work. Just wondering what's out there. This is for a turbo gdi.

Unlikely for a dexos1 licensed oil. Plus the license does not permit an oil to be labeled as a 40-grade.
Buy Castrol Edge 5W-30 LL or Mobil 1 ESP instead.
A dexos2 oil would also work.
Isn't dexos 2 for diesel tho?
What about the SA on a dexos 2 oil? Aren't those allowed contents allowed to be higher?

If you’re worried about that then why are you asking about a dexos1 oil? SA for a dexos2 oil is 0.8 limit compared to 1.0.
Doesn't d1g2 require a lower sa count than dexos 2?
What about the whole timing chain wear issue and all that jazz? Is dexos 2 just a better oil all around? Are there dexos 2 oils that have a higher hths than 3.1?
All dexos2 oils have an HTHS ≥3.5

No. Gen2 addressed LSPI.
Fram 5W-40 is cheap and carries formal approval. M1 ESP 0W-40 is the fill for the new Corvette.

No because the grade is an inferior designation.
And no to the second one because for one thing the SA limit is lower.
