Citizen solar watch

I had a piece of the lumed bezel fall out and Omega fixed it under warranty with a new bezel.

I applaud anyone who wears any watch these days! Eco Drive is nice technology, I gave one of my old Citizen Corsa ED to my FIL and 2 years ago when it was 13 years old, I had to put in a new capacitor. The replacement of the capacitor was easy-peasy, not really anything more than a normal battery change.

Yep. I just did one and the only special thing is lining up the little tab on the back of the battery with the slot. Dang thing is tiny, though.

Nice watches! I have about 8 eco-drive solars in different models. I keep them in the window seal to keep them charged. The pest control people call me the watch guy lol. They’re a nice mid price watch that’ll give you several great years of service.

I have 3 Citizen watches, a Thunderbird chronograph I bought when I graduated HS, a black one from Costco that is an Eco-Drive, and a Blue Angel Chronograph that is an Eco-Drive. The Blue Angel one is annoying because it is supposed to update via an atomic clock and it won't.

I may be wrong, but I've heard there's a phone app you can get to update the time.

This one is about 6 years old. My son has matching one, both came in the scuba tanks. I have another that was on it's 3rd band.
Maybe someday I'll get bezel and crystal tuned up. Mine are very rarely off my wrist and I don't have many so pretty much 6 years of 24 hours a day. It might come off when doing oil changes or if I need to reach into tight spots.

It did a couple vacation dive trips with my kids.

I just put a rechargeable battery in my oldest Ecodrive. It lasted 11 years before it started losing time but the key is to set those watches in a window sill or somewhere they can keep a full charge. I didn't do that with mine.
Same thing with my Mickey Mouse Eco-Drive. If I charge it for +36 hours with an LED BlockLite, it'll run for ~6 days. Unfortunately, a replacement rechargeable cells for this model is NLA.
