Folks, I need some recommendations on a new watch. My 24 year old Citizen Eco-Drive has bitten the dust and I don't think it's worth fixing.
I'm looking for an Automatic or Solar Powered watch. I would like a 43mm case with a stainless bracelet. NO CHRONOGRAPHs! It must be Water Resistant to 200 Meters. I would like the price range between $500 and $750.

I like the Orient Mako or the Seiko Alpinest. Both reliable automatic watches.

Is water resistance to 200 meters an overall measure of quality or do you dive?
Trav: Is Hudson Yards, on Manhattan's West Side, the reason the watch you linked to called that?

These requirements are way too broad. Need to compress. For example, an automatic requires more user interaction, and is far less accurate and durable than most solar quarts watches.

Off the top of my head, I'd say get another Citizen Eco. You can get a really nice quality piece for about half your price range. In fact, I wouldn't pay $500 for one, that's beyond the technology.

FWIW, this is a great forum for finding watch deals...https://www.manontime.com/

Check the "I saw a Bargain Here" feed, and bite when something strikes your fancy...

For your price range and specs I’d look at Seiko or other reputable Japanese watch. Why not another Eco drive? An automatic likely won’t go 24 years like your Eco drive without needed maintenance. Just make sure you know what you are getting into with automatics.

This is the info they publish on these. They are not worth the overpriced retail but for this money they are a great buy, the quality is good.

Are you open to used?
If so I recommend Chrono 24.
You can likely get a bunch more watch for your money.

I had a Seiko automatic before the Citizen. It lasted a good while although not near as long as the Citizen.

Just like many a car!

Seriously: Isn't a "Chrono 24" a chronograph, which the OP does not want?
General Q: What's wrong with a chronograph? just asking.

Chrono would be short for a chronograph in watch speak.
Chrono 24 is a marketplace that specializes in all kinds watches.

What's wrong with a chronograph? I don't want or need two or three extra dials under the crystal.

Have you tried putting your Eco in the direct sunlight for 8 hrs straight?
I read somewhere that this will sometimes bring back an otherwise dead watch.
