When I was a kid growing up in Albuquerque, I watched the Unsers race jalopies at the old Cormit Speedway on south Wyoming near the north entrance to what is now Sandia National Laboratory/Kirtland AFB. These races were well attended as there wasn't much in the way of entertainment in Albuquerque in those years. None of us had the cost of admission so we crawled over the fence. Midget racing arrived in the late forties. I know, I know, who cares?

Interesting, thank you for the information. So then this PDS on the Valvoline website (that says it expires on 11/29/25) is already outdated.

People at valvoline really messed the MST situation up. See my post in the euro oils from a month a so ago.

i started driving in 1965, my dad and i did all our maintenance till 15 years ago. i am no expert. but i think that now days you would to LOOK for a bad oil.

The thing about Brand loyalty is when you try something different and no matter how much you justify the new brand is the same it never is. Case in point I love Valvoline products but when I use a different name of oil I worry it isn't going to hold up. I catch myself checking oil for loss as well as different noises and fuel economy. Heck I want to go back to Mobil since I only run Exxon gas 95% of the time but only Mobil Super Synthetic is available in spec and I run Daily Protection Synthetic Blend but likely will be to stressful.

I've been a Supertech guy for a long time. I bought a 2016 F150 Lariat with a 3.5 ecoboost in July. Dealer changed the oil when I got it and put on the sticker for a oci at 7500 miles. I changed it at 5000 miles and put in PP with a Fram Ultra. I'm second guessing myself thinking I should of just went with Supertech full synthetic because I've had such good luck with it but I'm hoping after reading on here about PP that it is the real deal.
