Bob's Health/Prayer Request

I forwarded the basics (URL, brief rundown of the issue) and asked for prayers. The response was pretty impressive.
Bob; you and your whole situation is being prayed about, as much as I could do.
We're rootin' for ya!
Prayer has power!

I have had the pleasure of being with Bob in his little shop, running Timken tests and at other times purchasing supplies from him. My observation is that he is a very friendly, likeable and pleasant fellow. I am personally saddened at his current illness.
I called the hospital yesterday. I don't have the family password and was unable to get any information. They said they couldn't even tell me the condition he is in. When I asked if he could have visitors the response wasn't encouraging. Being here in Jacksonville, I wish I could get some information to share.
Hang in there Bob. Many of us are praying for you and the family.

I should think so! Am I the only one that saw Patman quoting Ray on page one...
He is in room T-603 if anyone wants to send cards, etc. Please do not
call the room as Bob is unable to use the phone.
The address is:
Baptist Hospital
800 Prudential Dr
Jacksonville, Fl 32207
.
As for going public, I asked Bob, and I am not sure he fully comprehended
what I was saying, but he said he said it was OK with him.
I know everyone is starving for info, but please ask them NOT to call his
wife, as she is trying to run the house with two children, hold down a
full time job (and she doesn't drive) along with everything else.
As for collections / donations--and this is only my opinion--I think we
should, but not at this time.
There is no way to tell how long recovery will take, but I will keep you
posted every few days.

I've been out of the loop for a spell. Sorry to hear of Bob's health problems. He's in our prayers also.

Who is physically closest to Bob and has access to him??

Can we get some communication through???

We need to tell him he is the man, and his honored presence is required.

Whomever that is, please email me, I wish to send some scanned cards via email attached files and have you arrange for them to be enlarged, laminated, whatever...if this cannot be arranged then I'll do it myself.
For me, I hate the thought of being in bed for weeks, that's like prison or something. And I actually enjoy dentist chairs!

Get well soon, Bob!

Surely someone lives in or near Jacksonville; either Bob's home (keeping in mind his family is swamped and we should heed a humanitarian 'keep-away' request...those who know the address, keep it under wraps, possibly forever) or the hospital.
Can someone not volunteer to be a point of contact, to take cards, flowers, donations (to his wife) etc.???
Come on!
Thanks
Rob

I talked with Odis Beaver today. I asked if he had any news on Bob and he knows pretty much what we all know. We both lamented about how we all are waiting for information and how hard it is to temper our anxiety. We also agreed that Bob is being taken care of by a greater God, one who is also watching over his family. I'm certain our contributions of thoughts and prayers are doing wonders too. I, and I'm sure the rest of the board, will wholeheartedly continue. Get well soon Bob.

Another update on Bob from his good friend Ray.
quote:

Just saw Bob yesterday for the first time in weeks.
He was still groggy, but reasonably coherent and aware.
He is definitely improving, but it will be some time before he is up to
full speed.
I spoke to his wife last night, and they are looking for a rehab center
to move him to--no time frame on this though.
He is in room # T-606 at Baptist Medical Center.
All for now.

Ray

Bob has created one of the most objective internet forums I've ever seen, whether we're talking about oil or politics. The compilation of people that gather here daily as a resut of Bob starting this forum are awesome. For that, he gets my vote as a true winner. Get well soon Bob
