Black Vehicle??

Use to own this Elantra Sport bought used. 2017/2018's look like this. I consider it the best looking cheap car in black for the model year.

Of course in response to @Zee09's thread on white vehicles, have you owned, or would you own, a black vehicle?

We've owned several black vehicles:
- 2002 Expedition Eddie Bauer, black with tan leather interior
- 1982 Mercury Capri "Black Magic"
- 2016 Dodge Durango Limited, Black on Black
- 2018 RAM 1500 Big Horn (EcoDiesel) black on black leather
- 2019 RAM 1500 Sport (current) black on black
- 2020 Grand Cherokee SRT (x2) black on black extended leather

Been looking at BMW X5's in black on black lately, which are, IMHO, absolutely gorgeous.

85 T/A, 86 K5 Blazer and 08 Chrysler 300 SRT8.

Black is definitely my favorite vehicle color, at least as long as I can keep it clean! My grandpa’s hand me down 96 Tacoma in high school was black, and my current 2013 F-150 is as well.

Always polish claybar, wax then Synthetic sealant. White is one of the most scratch resistant colors due to Titanium Dioxide Pigment. On the other hand black is the softest paint color, and needs additional care. Look up Vinwiki Rabbit.

I've had black and white - prefer a black vehicle. I was looking at a black car the other week....and the air con wasn't working - no thanks ! White cars were prone to rust - not enough heat generated to clear moisture in creavases.

Never ever again. Mark my word. It gets dirty so easy, shows every scratch, and swirls galore.

I always wanted Black or White vehicles. I ended up with both. My Black Chevelle. Then a White Ford F150XLT. Now we have a Pearl White Honda Accord EXL. The White ones seem to stay cleaner longer. When u are a car nut like me you like them all... Its another disease just like my Oil Change Derangement syndrome.

My first car was black, which drove me nuts! So hard to keep clean. I told myself never again, then almost bought a new 2018 Passat R-line in black. Glad that didn’t pan out.

They look great clean, but that only lasts a few minutes.

Have to agree with Nick on this one. Black looks great on the Tourag but it does tend to hide body lines.

Have to agree with Nick on this one. Black looks great on the Tourag but it does tend to hide body lines.

I have had quite a few black cars and bikes but being a little OCD every one of them sent me barking mad chasing swirls, orange peel, the most minuscule ding that looks like a big dent.

Absolutely! It’s probably, overall, my favorite color on a vehicle.

I also really like a dark gray, though. The wife’s 4Runner is gray, and my 2016 WRX was dark metallic gray.

My 07 Tacoma is black.

I have owned my black 2002 Ranger for over 13 years now. I actually picked the color before I owned it. I was with my parents when they bought it at a mega Ford truck super center. It was one of those places where you narrow down your options, then they go retrieve the truck by driving out into the field of trucks on a golf cart. They asked a series of questions about equipment, then it was silver or black. My parents asked me and I said black, so the salesman went out and got the black truck. My parents are largely indifferent to car color as long as it isn't any sort of burnt orange. The first truck the salesman got that they test drove was already sold, but they had multiple Rangers with that specific "Southeast popular option package" thing so we just got an identical one. Still in my driveway 19 years later, and no regrets about black over silver. It does get brutally hot in the summer though. If it's a really hot day, I'm definitely driving the white Explorer.

I'm a never black kind of guy for an exterior color. Only looks good if it's clean. Had a white vehicle though. I hate black cars and black interiors. Makes it easier sometimes to search for cars though. First thing I do is eliminate the black exterior color. I might do a black interior again but only if the car was fully loaded
