Bizarre Experience At AAP

Walmart near me locks up automotive light bulbs. Even the cheap ones, like a 168 two pack for $5 is locked up.
I walked into a Buck General store the other day to grab a bottle of rubbing alcohol. Just about every single item on that aisle was in those little lock boxes. I just turned around and walked out. There were 4 or 5 people in line at the cashier and I pass 6 grocery stores, 2 walmarts, and maybe a half dozen CVS/Walgreens on the way to work, and I was in a hurry so had no desire to wait 15+ minutes to get to the cashier then spend 10 minutes with said cashier trying to open the lock box. I ended up stopping at a CVS and it was on sale for 2 bucks (the big container of 91%) which is normally like 6 bucks there. Winning!

How do you steal a car battery? Under your shirt?

Man, here in SC about 3 years ago I was at the Dave Lyle Walmart in Rock Hill, SC not long after the shutdowns ended.

I noticed a pair of ladies chucking items directly out of the cart into the trunk of their car. I'd heard of it but never seen it. I watched for probably a good 20 seconds when I noticed a single lady the next row over doing the exact same thing. Haven't seen it since, but that was wild. People call it carting. You just roll a whole cart of stuff out the door, get it into your car as fast as you can, and haul hiney before the cops show up. What's nuts, almost every time I've ever stopped at that store (which is rare, because it's over in that part of town and the furthest one from me) there's been at least one cop car sitting out in the fire lane, if not 2 or 3. There is a darn reddit sub where people post pictures of their 'hauls' - it's ludicrous. I've seen some where there has to be $1500 worth of stuff.

A couple of strong dudes could get a couple of batteries easy peasy at a parts store, or I guess a whole darn cart full from Wal Mart....

It wasn't a need. It was a factual description of the guy based on his conduct and behavior.

Would you rather have me call him a heavily confused and tortured soul who apparently has an undying love for the personal privacy of inanimate objects?
