This may be a completely ridiculous question, but are there differences in packing tapes? I went to Uhaul and bought a bundle of their small moving boxes to organize and pack up my record collection (lp's). Of course I forget all about needing packing tape to secure the bottom of the boxes. I want some tape that's really strong that will fit on my standard size tape gun. Is "tape just tape",or is there some that's really strong, because a box of lp's is pretty heavy. Harbor Frieght and Walmart are right up the street from me,would Harbor Freight be a better place to buy it? Also, which tape would be the better, best, etc?
Would this kind've tape be best? I just now read this on a record collector's site:
*When it comes to tape, make no mistake, U-haul’s Packaging Paper Tape held together 30 boxes so well that post move-in, breaking down the boxes could not be done by hand. The paper tape is very durable, meant to accommodate heavier packages and won’t yellow or become brittle like some of the clear adhesive tapes that are more common. Record distributors even rely on this or similar tapes and based on the orders received in the mail over the years, this stuff works.*
