I know I just made a thread but it was focused on my current oil (Motul X-Clean EFE 5w30) and I had decided it was adequate based on the replies but some conversations in the track group on FB made me skeptical again because of the lack of an SP or higher rating meaning I'm lacking the LSPI and timing chain wear from that cert (Motul is only SN)
Basically looking for a high quality oil that meets and/or exceeds the standards in the manual so when I go for warranty work I don't get screwed.
I'd like to stay 5w30 I'm hesitant to move up to 40 because there's been a couple cases of oil squirters falling out and thicker oil might not help in that sense (crazy thing to worry about but
)
I'm also hesitant to go to 0w30 simply because I only drive in the summer and these cars run fairly hot and I drive fairly hard.
