I always liked wix filters. Early 90s for me, mechanic once said they were a very good go too filter instead of oem.yhe rest ,cardboard endcaps, foreign made ,quality subpar or less.
Now,mahn and Hummel owns and changed them.the filter media as we all know. What was once Dana corporation USA made, family owned,is now corporate assembly line stuff. Thier rated as 20%@23 microns . Purolators now I believe.filter media. Not many are happy with that. The media tears, the prices, efficiency, ect. The older now purolators rocked.ee see once again,a corporation messing n mucking up what once was good.
Does, would all here still use or want too use wix filters,or moved on too another brand?
I read on wix website, majority of wix will be made in China,Venezuela,tawain,Poland..some other places.the majority being not USA friendly, communist and cheap labor places which I do not support. I've seen USA made wix, ebay...brand new. $14.85 a filter. Crazy. Ide rather pass than support a company on socialist, communist and slave child labor side.how many also would buy the USA made wix made today?

Yes I am looking for something different also, however I have enough USA made wix for a year or more.

Maybe if I find something I like I can sell my wix stuff on flea bay for $14.85 :)

It would be nice if we could buy all our items from honorable sources.

When my brother gave me a burr coffee grinder (from Denmark) and it broke, how do you think I felt when the company said I couldn't repair it. Just buy a new one.

Then, after I mentioned it to my brother, he said, "Oh yeah, we're on our third one, What's the problem?"; How do you think I felt?

I'm sorry, this is wasteful......a truly bad side of our system.

As my wix stash dwindles, I am looking for alternatives as well. Just bought some Honda filters those were stamped made in USA. Not sure what I will use for my other applications as I have used wix for years.

I just stick with the tried and true ( for me anyway) Fram that I have been using since I started driving in 1959.
I bought a couple fram's recently but am dismayed by there quality control as well. They changed hands (again) recently as well - but at least they are still made here in the USA for now which is exactly why I went there first.

Wow! So it would seem, the majority here are leaving wix.you don't like mahn Hummel. I am on this as well obviously my post..corporations ruin everything.pie and participate is child labor, outsource too communist regimes who hate America .then sell it back too us

I'm assuming too, then, Napa gold's ..also mahn Hummel, are socialist n communist made too? Except the USA made ones.
If you mean made in China, it's only certain ones. Vast majority of M&H filters are made in the US, or in Europe. Sad thing is, some of the Chinese ones are holding up better than Mann made ones!

You wrote that there's a problem with what I said but didn't tell me the problem.
Unfortunately Purolator isn’t quite what they were before Mann bought them, there’s been a “few issues”. Here’s to hoping that maybe their premium filters (the Pure One and Boss) are showing some improvement over what they used to build in Fayetteville. There’s been just a few torn Classics and Motorcrafts posted here…

The issues were there before M+H

The yellow cans Puros were the "Tearolators"

I still use WIX filters. The “lines” I use are either made in the USA or South Korea. Zero issues.

OE, German Mann, Mahle, or US made Fram filters on everything else for me.
