Any if you have knee problems?

I have a strange issue with my right knee. It feels like a slight sun burn off and on around my skin on my knee cap. The knee itself doesn't hurt but it's definitely a feeling I haven't felt before. It's like the outer part and then goes down my shin a tad. I'm someone that's on their feet all day long. I don't do any running or anything ike that l, just walking mainly

Mine are like that occasionally. I haven’t had them looked at, yet, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s cartilage damage. Co-workers & relatives have had knee replacements already, at a younger age than me (60)-maybe it’s the glucosamine/chondroitin I’ve been taking for ~20 years that’s keeping my knees (& shoulders) operational(?)

Have you gained weight? Is there numbness in the area, like a specific spot that is numb?

No, noticed it about a month ago working on the boat. Spent a lot of time kneeling down on my knees

How's your diet? any changes in water intake? hows your processed food intake?

Sometimes pain presents itself in a different spot than it's source. Do you feel any tender spots if you poke and prod at it?

Also, folks who are old and starting to break down (like me) got no business kneeling a lot. Except for Sundays, lol.

No, not at all. There is a very slight dried out rough calloused area at the bottom of the knee, maybe the the diameter of a nickel. Probably where it was kneeling on the boat. That's the only thing I can think it is, but it still feels odd

I've had both knees with torn meniscus. One felt like how half rotten elastic like when you start to pull it apart. The other was a ruff edge it was under the knee cap every step. Knee surgeon then mri then surgery.

One thing that certainly doesn't help is walking the dog. I have a feeling that's what caused it. That little 25 pound talk could drag me on the ground if he wanted. Being out on my feet all day, then talking him for a walk as soon as I get home definitely doesn't do them any good.

My brother swears by his custom orthotic shoe inserts for his knees.

Edit: he jokes that as he ages, the amount he spends on his pants keeps going down, while the cost of his shoes just goes up and up.
