What is the anti seize of choice for an aluminum to alum (or alum to steel) thread? Environmentally a good grease would be adequate but I prefer the peace of mind the tenacity of antiseize provides.

FWIW this is for a bicycle external cup bottom bracket which has anodized alum cup threads interfacing with bare aluminum threading in the frame. Will see mostly nice conditions but some Michigan winter riding, too.

I just use regular copper anti-seize on my aluminum Honda blocks and I haven't had a problem getting plugs out yet

I've used WD40 at home with success.

For cutting threads, yes. Not to prevent aluminum & steel from galling in use. Tap Magic Aluminum works wonders for cutting threads but lawd does it stink!

I'm personally not a fan of tap-magic. I've used it for various aluminum projects (mostly 6061-T6 and 7075-T6) and it's just.... crummy. Plenty of better tapping fluids on the market.

Plus, the EP additives DO smell horrible.
