Ammo boxes for oil filter storage

30 cal probably won’t fit a single filter at all. The 50 cal might hold a few. Definitely not a dozen. I think there has to be a better option.

I was looking at shrink plastic I have a heat gun could just cover the baseplate do an Asian market filter wrap.

I use the MTM plastic ammo cans for a lot of car parts storage. A transmission valve body. An ABC pump.

For bulk items, I use regular storage bins.

Home Depot “pro” line (shown - the red ones) have a lid seal.

They work well.

I see no value in procuring ammo cans for storing oil filters… unless you have them free. And if they’re free, it’s the ones you have.

Every filter is different so it’s a packing function of their own geometry.

I’d say a clear plastic container is better. But if you have them, why not?

No need to buy ammo box for filters.

I do have an authentic Army ammo box from 1954-1959 timeframe I use to store my drill / drill bits.
