Yeah, it was the human that attached the cat. Cat attacked the dog, which is normal behaviour for the animal. Says Police consulted fish and Game personal, and I'm they they didn't want to get up out of their chairs, so easy route was for police to shoot it...

LOL. Once cougars interact with humans they are never the same. That one was particularly close to the community. How would you respond if the cougar attacked a child the next week?

Relocating is another option I suppose.

I run into cougars all the time at the local karaoke bar. Luckily, they're easy to distract and leave on their own after a while.

I'm guessing they don't have much in the way of animal control up there.

They shot the cougar rather than capture and relocate? Nice.

Totally justified if it attacked a human being, but because it attacked a dog that likely attacked it first? Real pro.
