Extensions, no.

Universals, maybe. Probably. It depends on the exact situation.

UJ is a risk. Straight extensions shouldn't effect it enough to matter, I was always told. There is a little potential loss from the twisting effect, think of a licorice.

I have never found an engine where it was impossible to use a torque wrench on the spark plugs.

As long as you do not permanently deform your extension there is no torque loss.

If it does exists, it will be used to torque spark plugs, ranges from 13-18 ft lbs.

I prefer 3/8 if possible.

Is there a significant difference from digital vs standard?

Here is a photo from a pack of NGK Platinum plugs. One can get as anal as they want about the calibration of a torque wrench but the recommended torque can be a wide amount. Try make sure the mid point torque on the wrench is in the range required. IE don’t use a 3/8 wrench where a 1/4 would do better.
