I have a 95 3000gt VR4. Higher miles, but stock. I’ve used 5w-30 & 5w-40s during the life of the car I’ve used diesel oils in plenty of “performance cars”

But never anything modern. I have a massive stock pile of the Delo 400 5w-40 XSP from when it was like $7 a gallon at advanced. Would using this be fine?

Yes it's fine to use in that turbo engine which i don't think is gdi. Xsp 5w-40 is one of the highest hths 5w-40's you can get off the shelf which is 4.2. At 1300 cal and 500 mag it's not high calcium.

Awesome. Thanks! I’ve been using it in one of my older diesels. Have enough stock for the life of that truck!

So you have a collector beauty that will only get better, and you want to feed it high fructose corn syrup ?
Shame, Sir. Shame.

4.2 hths Xsp 5w-40 is pretty good for motor syrup. Think he should use hpl or amsoil?
In my dreams of a VR4, Amsoil and HPL should be only worthy of creating a cleaning spray for the cupholders, while the engineering teams of HPL, Amsoil and Maxima should be put into a gladiator match the the death, on planet Dune to distill an oil from Spice and tears.

But I'm probably wrong. It's 30 years later after all.
