Considering a newer ride for the wife, as her Toyota Venza is at 250k and needs front end work, all new suspension, windshield, and tires. It's been a great ride, with only normal maintenance and wear items like suspension and front wheel bearings. The drivetrain is all original and functions flawlessly. We're at the junction of deciding to update or just keep rolling it with the needed repairs/maintenance.

She is keen on the GX. Anyone have first-hand experience of how a 6'4" (Me, not her) person fits in there? If a person is willing to travel or ship, there are many low mileage GXs that look like they've never left pavement.

I have done multiple searches, and can't find any concrete descriptions, and can't find a local model to test drive.

From a 6'5" guy who has at times had issues with headroom in Lexus vehicles, I think you're going to have to find one and sit in it to know. I haven't sat in one in years and while I don't remember specifically not liking the headroom, I don't really remember.

I’m 6’4” and we had a 2014 Lexus GX from 2014 to 2017. It was a great vehicle, just a bit light on storage with the third row up. I fit fine and don’t remember feeling weird like I do in a Tacoma. I wish we still had it, I’d see it around town quite often but haven’t seen it in a year or two.

Highly recommend.

The pic is from me test fitting how it would fit in the new garage.

Venza with the 2GR-FE? I'd pay to fix it up.
Yep. The 3.5 is a great engine. It doesn't leak or burn oil. The engine and transmission function perfectly. It's more of a wife want than need.....first world problem, for sure!

We have three Toyota's (Venza, Sequoia, Tundra), all with 200-250k miles, all are reliable, but logic says to update one for the primary travel vehicle.

I drove a 2020 venza w/ the hybrid and got rid of it b/c it was not possible to fill the tank with more than 11 gallons of gas, which i found frustrating

All great vehicles. I love Toyota V8's (I own one), but not sure I'd want 3 of them. You seen gas prices lately? The 1UR in the GX takes premium. If I was going to update one of those I'd keep the 2GR if I could and move the Sequoia instead.

This is the end game emissions regulation that California has been aiming for all along

I drive a GX460 regularly (belongs to inlaws who always want me to drive everywhere) and it fits me with room to spare. I am about 6'2.

That said it's pretty thirsty, unpractical, and has had some weird problems with the infotainment that have been expensive to fix.
