2024 Landcruiser

I wonder if you can swap the round headlights for the square ones or vice versa 🤔 Love that they have amber/white selectable fog lights, wonder if they’ll be optional on the “base” trim.

Old Land Cruiser sold 3000-4000 units per year, no one was interested in USA.
Because the people that want Land Cruisers in the USA don't want the worst engine option and a bunch of junk inside like leather and TVs.

Give me a diesel, manual transmission + transfer case, lockers, cloth seats, power windows, and a radio.

I understand why they didn't but it is very frustrating.

It's rare when people "love" a product. It would seem the Land Cruiser is one of those products, but people who loved it were put off by the price and literally how antiquated the platform was.

This is a vehicle with a live axle, right? imho, so few people actually off road with these things that I would think an independent rear would have way more benefit.

If they say the base is 50k, well in this day and age, that's a real plus.

To me, nothing is worse than when a product's new generation, is worse than the one it replaces. Maybe, that's not the case here.

The one thing that always struck me with many foreign SUVs is the tiny cargo space and expensive prestigious price tag.

I want to like it, but no thank you to the 4 banger turbo powertrain. Give me old school v8. Don’t mess with what works Toyota, you know better.

Is that what it has? dang. Can you imagine how many people drive BMWs today with 4 cyl engines, as if it's 1980 again and anything above is premium? it's all about selling the sizzle not the steak.

I spent 4 mos with a 2016 BMW 328 (Takata scandal loaner). The way that it makes the torque is simply awful. I did use launch mode and for. 4 cyl yes I think it was like 6 flat to 60 so once again if all one cares about are numbers it’s fine

The round headlights are only for first edition models which are limited to 3000 world wide I think. Was reading about it a couple of days ago.

I do think this Land Cruiser looks more appealing than the last. UK is only getting a 2.8 291hp diesel at first.

"Only."

Should be plenty of scoot.

It would seem typical today for lesser costly trims to be harder to get. The Mazda cx90 starts at 39k which would seem like a lot of car for the money in 2023. Strange how the stickers grow by 22k as they’re unloaded from the car carrier…
