That it is! I am not sure if I really like it or really hate it. The side view sure looks like a Jag!

I can't stand the "integrated" exhaust tips that are becoming so popular. I'd rather not see them at all than see some body cladding with a pipe stuck in the middle.

I also don't like the widely "split" front grille. It reminds me of someone with a huge gap in their front teeth.

I think it looks pretty good, i like the front grill. I do agree with you that the rear exhaust leaves something to be desired. I would leave the bumper smooth and have a turn out behind each rear tire.

Styling wise, I think it's a very unattractive car, and worse, it's based off a front wheel drive platform.

Lincoln hasn't had a decent car since they knocked off the S-Type for the LS.

Lincoln has really lost its way.

Speaking of the push button shift, my parents owned a 1958 Mercury that had the Merc-O-Matic push button transmission. I was only ten at the time so I don't remember a whole lot else about the car, but even at that young age I thought the push button was rather unusual.

I like the rear 3/4 view a lot, but I sure wish Lincoln would lose their front end stylist and try something different. The buck-tooth look simply is not working.

OMG, a sure sign that it's a poser, not an upscale car.

You don't like massive black plastic covered hinges or acres of the cheapest trunk felt?

It is spelled poseur: ...a person who copies the dress, speech, and/or mannerisms of a group or subculture, generally for attaining acceptability within the group or for popularity among various other groups, yet who is deemed to not share or understand the values or philosophy of the subculture. (Wikipedia)

However, I think that Yugo trunk lining qualifies.

I'm wondering if that's the hybrid variant and the battery pack is under the cover.

I'm perfectly OK with the felt trunk. Our Jags have nice carpet in the boot and I just have to cover it up when I'm putting something in there. It's a storage compartment, not a passenger compartment.

It's not the felt lining. The trunk should be strut with non-intrusive hinges instead of torsion bars.

My gripe is that the felt is really hard to clean. It does hide stains from most liquids pretty well, but if you get sand, grass, or leaves on it, forget about it. It's tough to vacuum because it tends to trap a lot of stuff. Normal carpet in the truck is more prone to liquid stains, but easier to vacuum.

Oh, OK.

Meh on the strut vs spring.

edit: in the trunk, anyway. I agree it would be cheap to use hood springs instead of struts.

double edit: Here's why I'm meh on the springs - look at the near vertical position of the trunk lid. You get a big opening with springs that you can't get with struts, AFAIK. My G8 has radial springs and it can also stand the boot lid straight up like that Lincoln. It makes it easy to get big stuff in and out. It is a storage compartment, after all, not a passenger compartment.
