I was referring to the oil pump belt which it has. Why they didn't do a chain like the Duratech based engines used, I have no idea. An internal oil pump belt is a terrible idea for longevity.bdcardinal:I think that 1.5L has an oil pump drive belt. I am not certain if that is a replaceable maintenance item.
The appeal is they are not a boat.I see a lot of them in the Louisville area; I don’t get the appeal- either buy a real Bronco or an Escape.
That was a nice quick review. I seldom see them in my area.
I love it. It compliments the blue Volkswagen Eos convertible that I plan on getting in the future.Looks count for something, and this falls short:

The bottom one. See the "uni bar" in the middle? Was it a 24 or 25? The new 25 dash is ugly, you have to use the tablet for everything. And I agree about the engine when I test rode one years ago. It was crude sounding and gutless!

I kind of consider these to be an econobox SUV and not the off road monsters folks dress them up to be. I know someone who has a Raptor version. Looks super cool. But seems more showy than capable IMO.
Sounds like I been following almost the same exact path (Bronco research-really wanted one) and I too could in no way justify the purchase of what they sadly are calling a Ford Bronco (ex owner of a full size for years). Also looking hard to Toyota after oldest son been showing off to me their Rav4. We just have not pulled the trigger yet but the wife and I tend to believe the Rav4 is what we want to own next also.Well I'll chime in because I was a long time researcher of this new Ford Bronco before they came out. I almost pulled the trigger and put money down on one.
But I woke up and realized that at 18 MPG that would not cut it for me with stop and go traffic.
I looked at all the different models and realized if you're going to go with the Bronco you might as well go big! Just like a jeep! If I went with the Jeep it would be a Rubicon all the way.
So I decided on the Sasquatch Edition as my go-to, and then took a ride a few and realized that my dream was over and I woke up
i was not going to spend 80 grand for a gas guzzling ground pounding daily commuter.
i Stayed with my Toyota 4Runner until I sold it, and now drive a RAV4! Oh wonderful, being facetious but I'm retired now and don't drive much so I've gotten over all of the off-road Shenanigans here in the Flatlands of Suburbia.

The 5.0 in the F-150 has had an oil pump drive belt for 4 years now.Its an angry Escape. The 3cyl EB does not inspire confidence, especially with an oil pump drive belt.
