Bought a '24 Titan after long search ....

Congrats. Great truck. I enjoy my 23 Pro-4X immensely; presently at just under 22K miles. Here it is undergoing an oil/filter and transfer case fluid change from a couple of months ago. No issues thus far in 2 years of ownership.

Titans are great trucks, I almost pulled the trigger on one before settling on the Ram. Congrats!

You mentioned you drove a Ram, but why the 3/4 ton 2500? I would think a Hemi-powered 1500 would've been a better comparison to the other trucks you looked at.

Either way, enjoy the new ride!

Beautiful truck, very glad to hear that you've had no issues. I will probably do the t-case/diffs at around 20k as well. Like the way you got it up on ramps, very nice.

Yeah I feel like they're often overlooked, one of the big reasons they're not going to make them anymore. Underdogs indeed

When we bought the pathfinder,l for the wife, I was looking at the Titan for me.

Dealer advised me not to as they weren’t going to make them anymore. He knows I like to keep vehicles for a long time.

Great question, I'm not a huge fan of the Hemi w/ etorque option, plus I've owned a Ram prior, which I loved. The 2500 was such a bargain in the heavy duty segment but just didn't "love" it. On the new Rams, they appear to have several issues to work out so I was leary of the new platform.

Yes that's a great point. I thought about that, but honestly I feel like I'll be ok for at least 10 years on this one. Beyond that, hard to say!

It's a bummer too, because these are great trucks.

Most guys know very little about them.

In decade I ran a boat shop I lost count of the number of American trucks my clients had that needed top end jobs after ten years towing to and from Lake Havasu in the blazing heat revving their guts out on the big hills Titans DOHC 32V v8 just sings for hours without beating up the valve train and killing lifters.

Agreed, many folks have never even considered the Titan. They'll just sing "it's a Nissan" w/out any knowledge or 1st hand experience with them.

I forgot that I had written a review of my brother's 2019 Titan; https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/threads/2019-nissan-titan-review.376421/ He's at over 90k miles now and still no issues.

I was reviewing my cons list in that review and they are mostly addressed:

- Rear a/c vents produce more force and even front vents seem to push more air in the '24.
- I think the 9spd is a much better driving experience.
- The bigger screen in the '24 is nice. Camera quality is improved, however I would still consider it not great.

That's a beauty! I saw a lot of them both new and old with my recent trips to South Carolina. Same with the Frontier. The Titan never seemed to be a popular truck in the rust belt where I'm from.

My 2022 Frontier has been great. Just about 50K miles on it.
