05 toyota tundra

amsoil calls for a sdf-57 for both the 2.7l tacoma and the 4.7l v8 in my wife's 05 tundra. that being the case, can i use a left over tacoma filter in the new tundra that i have from toyota? p/n is 90915-yzzd1


after the warranty is over, i'll go to the bigger sdf-15

Aftermarket filter makers almost always go for an all-in-one approach for 6 and 8 cylinder Toyotas and Lexuses, with the filter being smaller than the OEM one for a V8 Toyota.

The 90915-YZZD1 will work. But OEM for the V8 would be the longer 90915-YZZD3. Not sure how that would affect warranty...

On my Tundra & Sequoia I use the much larger PH8A filters
